I concur with everyone else, the first one is enchanting. I love the lips, and her whole face is perfect, like a china doll. Beautiful!

The first is brilliant. and the lips are fantastic. Martine IS beautiful. the second it what martine is... but the suitcase does not fit her. the suitcase is you, in the picture, with Martine. the last is martine, the real one, hidden behind the feeling that she doesn't know what to do with who she is. The photographie is awesome, but Leah... there is a need for more Martine. you shouldn't take pictures of what you think is hidden there, but pictures of the unknown it represent. I guess it as to do with school work, but with her, there is no need for theater, she already transcent the caracter. It is really good. really really good. But please. One day, do something just for me, and picture her silence. picture the tears she's never letting go. and don't think... let her think herself in front of you... you'll get something much more then good. you'll get real unicity. Don't get me wrong. I think you did something realy interresting here... i'm just completely selfish and I would like you, because you're the best for that, to take a picture from the inside. am i to metaphorical... i hope you get me right... but yah... I love it, but i know it's not enough... and i KNOW you are probably one of those who can do it... what do you think?

I agree. i know that i didn't get "it", something is missing. and Martine is beautiful here, but it's not completely her. you're also right about school, i am at the very end of my rope, just trying to finish my portfolio, in the midst of everything. but don't worry, i promise one day to capture all that you are referring to. i also know that i can do it. right now is not the right time. but...... i have the rest of my life, i'm going to a portraitist. you'll have your Martine. i'll also photograph you " you"!

Your right. You Do have the rest of your life. School is that kick, that tip of the iceberg. After that, it's YOU out there taking all of your experience and molding it to however the inner-you wants. I am enjoying your portfolio works Leah and as I have mentioned in person before... I admire your energy and creativity throughout it.
