Upon reflection

I just wanted to clarify a few things in regard to my post entitled " inspiration", most of my thoughts were coming out of inspiration, but upon reflection, (and things pointed out by others), i realized that certain thoughts could have come across the wrong way. People who know me know that i am the softest of soft people and a valiant defender of humanity. I believe that every single person on this earth was created in the Image of God, the great creative artist Himself. In effect, there are no " us and them". Each person is creative, and an artist in their own way. It was rather a sweeping thought to name all artists fragile, though i believe that, in the wider picture, all people are fragile. but that is not a bad thing. Some of the most beautiful, compassionate, creative exhibitions of humanity come out of fragility. and strength of spirit can be found in the very nature of fragility, i have seen this over and over again in the lives of people around me. One of my most recent inspirations, the photographer Cig Harvey, tries to use her work to capture the beauty and fragility of the human spirit, sometimes through loss.To sum up: it's been a challenging semester for me, but that's part of the process of growth, as a person, and an artist. ( and a student !! )
