Photos. moments pinned down for a fleeting second by the tip of the shutter. stored in a cavern of memory. for no one but you. and i.

Inspiration

I decided to break my unwritten code and write instead of post an image. Because so much of the creative process is thinking, writing, looking, being inspired by others' art, and above all dreaming. I had been discouraged lately because of an invisible wall i had been hitting in my technical ability, and more seriously, in my creative ability.... but this week i have been refreshingly inspired by each new school project ( a black & white portrait, a concept shot, and a figure and pattern multi media piece ), as well as by several photographers, i'm going to give you their websites. Please, take a moment, click a button, and allow your soul to be visually stimulated, your spirit refreshed. The precarious fragility of each and every artist who lives, breathes, and works on this earth, must, must, must be recognized. We must be nourished and given credit. You need us just as much as we need you. This intricate balance of humanity facinates me.

The Aborigines and Native Americans believed that if they were photographed a moment of their soul would be stolen. What a tool to wield, an expression of humanity and spirit to attempt to reveal.
