I am particularily drawn to the 2nd and 3rd pictures. The second one has a spiritual feel because of the hands, but a sort of frozen, static spirituality. The third one is magical, ethereal.

Roxanne, you're wonderful! thanks for commenting.... wow. you've captured in a nutshell what living in montreal feels like " frozen, static spiritualilty ".
I wish we'd had time when you all were out here to go to the location of the third photo, it's a sculpture created by an architect around a fountain, and throughout the summer, on every hour, a mist rises throughout the park, a ring of fire emerges in a circle from under the water , and finally a circular ark of water puts out the flames as the smoke recedes gradually. What make it really interesting is that this installation is right on the corner of an intersection of a fairly busy, business district of downtown, near the congress building, so it's interesting to watch the reactions of passing people, cars, and business people as they walk by in the mist.

That is indeed a wonderful fountain. The "architect" that Leah mentioned... (I guess we can call him an architect since most of is art work feels like a construction) is called Jean-Paul Riopelle and is one of the most incredible and not known enough artist from Quebec.
